Oreo

Oreo is my cute puppy,
He likes to eat with eyes like a guppy.
He's smart and fun.
He glows like a sun.
Oreo is my forever cute puppy!

Mothers & Fathers

Mothers and fathers are always there for you,
From kid to teen, even 22!
They're loving and caring, having lots of things to do.
I love my parents and you should, too!

Earth, Water, Fire & Air Dragon

Earth's dragon rumbles,
Deep in the earth.
Teeth flashing,
When it sees its first birth.

Water's dragon plays,
Up and down.
Swimming and swimming,
From black to brown.

Fire's dragon roars,
Scales shining,
Eyes with anger,
Living in caves, always mining.

Air dragon flies,
Through clouds and storms.
So fast and sleek,
It blows like a horn.

Awaken Dragon

Dragons high, dragons low,
Dragons fast, dragons slow.
I call upon, the mighty one,
Fast and sleek, son of the sun!

A Dragon's Scale

Far out north there's a dragon's call,
Through the hills, through most of all...
A dragon's scale lies upon,
The scales there but the dragon is gone!

Show Me, Don't Tell Me!

This is an exert from Amira's writing exercise in class. The task is to tell a statement by recording some details and let your partner guess how you may feel by using clues:

"Mmmmm - my mom?" asked Jenny in a shivering voice. She could hear her heart thudding against her chest. Her mouth was opening and closing but no sound came out. Jenny's teeth started chattering and her body was shaking. She knew she wouldn't get out of it this time...

Amira was trying to describe the emotion of being SCARED.

Charcoal, a sad short poem

Charcoal is my dog.
A cute little lad.
Food - he'll be good.
Spank - he'll be bad.

I loved him so much,
From tail to head,
but now I can't see him,
he's already dead.
