Chipper, Slasherball and Me on the adventure of a lifetime

"Hurry up Chipper!" I said. I was as happy as the sun! My mom had let me go to the Wizard's Tower in search for the 'talking' spell. Chipper was a green and black 'thing'. He can turn into anything. He's kind and nice but somehow impatient. He can't talk unless we have the talking spell.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch... stop stepping on me!" yelled the grumpy Slasherball. Slasherball was grumpy and rude because my mom thought he was my pet yesterday and had put him in the cage overnight.

The tower was very high. It was very cold outside. (Snowing) "Do you think there's anybody here? It says there isn't anybody inside the tower in a book. That the book is drivel!" I snapped. "It also says there's disobedient and mischievous monsters," said Slasherball as we climbed up the stairs. "Nnnn!" whined Chipper. "Whoa!" I yelled.

The stairs started to move. "Raaaarrgh!" came a fierce roar. Monsters and arrows started coming towards us. We darted left, right and I quickly took out a mesh my mum gave me. I threw it on the monsters. I knew it wasn't going to last long because it was made of twine. "Come on!" I yelled as I took Chipper and ran.

"Whoa!" I said, "Not again!" The floor started to rumble, and suddenly, a door slid open from the pile of planks. Chilly wind swished out, and suddenly, I was growing wings. I was becoming a dragon! I could sense any little movement. I stumbled a little while I tried to advance toward Chipper. Chipper withdrawn away into the darkness and whined. "It's okay, Chipper," I said, "I think." While I said that, I also reminded myself it was OK. I murmured, "I will - I mean - we will be having a very big and unnatural adventure indeed."

We deliberated who should go down into the floorboard tunnel when I said, "Maybe we should all go down into the hole!" "Fine, fine," said Slasherball. We all jumped down into the cold tunnel into the deep, dark blackness.

"I can't see! I can't see!" shouted a voice which I thought was Slasherball's. Chipper started to turn into a candle. I held up a 'Chipper' made candle and in no time, the room was filled with a soft glow of the dim light.

"It's a spell room!" I gasped, "Maybe we can find the spell!" We quickly searched around the little room, but Chipper had to stay as a candle. We found a light switch and I turned it on. Chipper gladly turned back to his normal self. We eventually found the spell. It was a 'hard-to-pronounce' spell. It was pronounced: Supercalifragilisticexpealidotious. I packed it into my bag to practice on later. "I wonder how would we get home," I said. Then, something caught my cat-like eye. It was a bird made of granite and crystal. It had something engraved on it. I held it in my scaly arms. Light swirled around me and I found out that I was back as a human. I took the gemstone and I said the word engraved, "fly."

I gently flew off the ground into to the still air and not so far away, were my two friends. We flew out of the window, over the tower and back home.

As I looked out the window of my house and smiled, it was an ending, yet it was also the beginning of my story.

Secret Surprise

I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked into the room. Was it true? Was he really standing in front of me? I was so excited that I scramble on him right after I stopped staring. My dream was actually true! My mom had bought me a real life horse!!! I rested on its soft, white mane. Its tail was swishing around like a snake. The horse had shining blue eyes. Its eyes were as blue as the sky! Its coat was a little dirty but I knew it was white. I decided to name him. "Hmmm..." I said out loud. I had to think of a name, I had to!

"Wam!" came a slam of the door which made me stop admiring my horse. I forgot! My mom was home. I ran out of the room and swept her up in a big (very big) bear hug. "Thanks for buying me a horse!" I said. "I did?" said my mom, startled. She soon turned back to her calm, ordinary self. She said, "OK, you may keep the horse, but remember, it's your responsibility!" "Anyway, you should go out with your horse and test your horse out. I will make plenty of apple - wait, it's a surprise!" With that, she hurried into the kitchen. I slowly took my horse and walked him out. His hooves went "clitter, clat" each time we walked on the floorboard. I could hardly wait to ride him!

As I strolled around the meadow on my horse, we stopped to rest by a lake. Next to the lake were many clovers. As I filled the bucket with water, I saw my horse nuzzle the clovers. "Wait!" I said out loud again, "Maybe I'll name you Clover!" Clover happily snorted, something caught my eyes. A 4-leaf clover! I plucked and thought of a wish. I didn't know what to wish for. I put the clover in the saddle pocket and rode home.

As I rode home, there was a luscious smell of apple pie. I could hear my mom singing. Then she laughed. Her laugh was like tinkling bells when someone moved it. I decided to got to our garden to see my plants. I walked into the garden to look for string beans. Oh! Boy oh boy! The string beans have turned to all kind of colors! I took out the wooden basket sitting on the side of the garden. I began to collect them. The basket was not big enough. I found a pot and put the rest of the string beans in. Instead of looking at the rest of the plants, I decided to make a basket from vines. When I finished,

Cast Aways

I looked at Lenox with a hopeful smile on my face. Lenox smiled a sad smile. Lenox was a nice little girl. She was the oldest person here. She had light brown hair. her hair was now knotted from not being brushed. George looked at Lenox with a little wetness in his eyes. George was a young boy with curly, blonde hair. He had blue eyes which used to be filled with happiness, but, was now filled with sorrow. I am the youngest cousin of all. I have dark brown hair with a hint of gold in it.

We were cutting coconuts in half and washing strawberries. We had been on the canoes for nearly 3 hours. We landed on this strange island. I wandered around the island. I felt strange.

Early next morning, while Lenox and George were asleep, I walked to the beach. The water crawled up to the shore. I sat on the soft white sand and began daydreaming of home. How surprised my mum would be be to find me. I closed my eyes and started to feel drowsy. "3, 2... 1," I said in my head, but I had already fallen asleep. I was woken by the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. I thought I was dreaming but I wasn't!!! A pumpkin the size of an apartment was floating toward Lenox! I quickly grabbed a pole and pushed it in the water. We had attached it yesterday to the boat, but it wouldn't fit. We had decided to put floaties on it. Anyways, I pushed with all my might. It stopped with a "swish". I was curious. Why was it here?

I started to walk to it. It was absorbing me; pulling me towards it. I ran straight to it and soon I reached the huge pumpkin. I was already knee level in the water!!! I felt around it and pulled out a crystal. It was as big as a watermelon. I slowly swam back and found that Lenox and George were looking at me in awe. I told them how I found it and when I finished, they were looking at me and the crystal with a gaping mouth. They looked like fish breathing!

I decided to hide it. When I woke up the next day, I told them that I'd go to the forest to explore. I dug a little hole the size of a foot and as deep as something that could fit a watermelon. I put the shiny crystal in and covered it with yellow grass and dried leaves.

After that day, I was woken up by a fierce roar. I bolted up and looked around. I saw a black dragon's head in the cracks of the trees. I also saw Lenox and George running for their lives. I knew something. "The crystal!" I said out loud. I leapt up and started running to the forest. My tired brain begged for rest, but I ignored the begging.

I easily found the crystal. I ran back to the beach. I thought about saving Lenox and George. My hand began to glow, a light flashed out. It was a dark green light. It swirled around and around the dragon. After one final roar, a flash of green shot out and disappeared. Now the dragon was green.

This dragon was very generous and apologized for his grumpy mood. We rode him home and I explained everything. When I got home, my astonished mother asked me what had happened. I wrote this story in one kind of book. Guess what the book is? Yes, you've just finished it.

The End.

Magic (Chapter 2)

I was in my bed the night before Christmas. I felt bitterly cold as the snow fell. I got out of my bed and said, "Anana, anna, astia." The snow swirled around me like a tornado. I said again, "Emma, ellam agista." Then I was on a train. I was holding a ticket that said "MAGIC". I knew I was a Christmas fairy. I saw my friends next to me. One said, " I want french fries." The other one said, "I want ice cream and french fries." Two adults came running in with two glasses of ice cream and french fries full in a big glass tray. Everybody look like a fairy here except for the adults. I smiled. I thought, "If I could just have a wand, I can do magic!" My clothes began to disappear. In its place was a snowy skirt and shirt. My shoes had snowflakes. I became an ice fairy and made a trip to help Santa.

I Like Magic

I had a dream about this girl. She is a fairy. I was sitting on the bench when a gust of wind hit my face. It as going around me. Suddenly I was up in the air. I didn't know what was happening. I got a handkerchief out of my pocket and wiped my face. When I put it away I was on a cloud. I was super confused. First of all, I was not heavy. Second, I was a fairy. Then three fairies went rushing toward me. The first one said, Are you okay?" I said "Yes, I am. Thank you." The others were whispering. The second one gave me a cranberry. I thanked her. The third one gave me a tour. I thanked her, too. Then I realize we wore the same clothes. We were water fairies. I was led to the queen. She smiled and gave me a house. I was really comfortable. I asked if I could go home. In a blink of an eye, I was on the bench again.

The Secret Scroll

A long time ago, a ninja hid a scroll. If someone finds the scroll, he or she would have all the power on the earth. Before anyone could find the ninja, he disappeared. Many years later, a girl was born. When she was 11, she was a ninja. Sh wanted to find "The Scroll". She climbed up a rock. There hid the scroll. She picked up the scroll. She was gaining strength. Soon she had all the powers. She kept on stirring. Finally her town vanished with her. She was not found. THe town came back and there was no sickness or death. All was good.

A Little Bird leads me to a castle

"Mom? Can I have a bird?" I asked. "No, you know I'm allergic to birds," said my Mommy. "I'll take a walk," I called. I put on my coat and my shoes. I also took some bags of crackers. I shut the door and walked down the steps. I saw a red with blue stripe baby bird fall. I ran and caught her. She looked very hungry. I gave her a cracker. It happily ate it. When I went down the sidewalk, I saw the little bird following me. I picked her up and I cuddled her in my arms I set her in a soft pouch in my jacket. The bird refused to go inside. She led me to a gate. it opened, I was a big castle. I was shocked! A few days later, my family moved in. I learned that the birds can talk. Mommy's allergies were gone.

If I had a Puppy

I wish I had a puppy so I could take care of it. I would give it warm milk and feed it soft marshmallows. When he has teeth but not strong teeth, I would feed it soft strawberries and bananas. When he has strong jaws and still a puppy, I would give it chewy rabbit meat. When he's really strong, I would give it deer meat and it's bones. I would wash him everyday. I would brush him once in a while. I would let him sleep on a pillow on my bed. I would take him on walks. In the winter, I would give him a blanket so he would be warm.

I Could See a Diamond

Amira is my name. This story is about a diamond castle that disappeared. Only someone, just someone can find it. Ten years later, a little girl was born. When she was seven, she told her mom that she was going to take a walk. her mom disagreed. The girl walked down the path. She picked up a mirror. She sang a song. The mirror suddenly sparkled. A beautiful woman appeared. Her name was Alexa. Alexa showed her the diamond castle and led her to it.

A Magical Garden

Once upon a time, a garden appeared. It was called Annakiadiasammamia. I know it is a long name but I like it. Let's get back to the story. A little girl was adopted because her mother and father died. Her stepmother was very, very, very very, very cruel. One morning, her stepmother sent her outside to scrub the whole sidewalk and to fetch her 700,509 french fries. She went outside and started to scrub. When she finished, she got out some bags of birdseed and opened it. She climbed on top of a wall and tipped each bag. The birds ate them all and led her to a garden. She picked a rose and wished she had 700,509 french fries already delivered to the house. In no time, her phone rang. She picked it up. Her stepmother said, "You're sooooooooo quick!" She ran to another rose. She picked it and wished she was with her mom and dad. Her mom and dad appeared and they were in a house. The house was right in front of the Annakiadiasammamia. They lived happlily ever after.

The End.

Max's Swimming Pool

"Hello!" I am Amira. I will talk about a pool we went to. The pool was enormous! I quickly ran into the changing room and in minutes I was out wearing a swimsuit. I ran into the pool and pretended I was in a Lazy River. Lazy River is when you slowly float on a tube. The water brings you anywhere. While I was resting, water splashed on me! I woke up and Hudson splashed me again. We started to play water fight. After swimming, we ate a delicious lunch. It was a good day.

About my Father

My father is the best and only father I ever had. He assists me with Math because he's extremely good at it. He keeps me robust like my mommy. He rebukes me when I'm bad. He gives us tasty food to eat and also takes us to restaurants and orders the things we like, such as sushi and hamburgers. A dad that cares for his children is my dad. He keeps us very fit. He is not good in English, but he is good with Chinese. HE will tell about what happened in his past.

I am a Dirty Sock

I was an immaculate sock just when Jason's mother, Jane, thought I was dirty and threw me in the dirty basket. She was idle. One day, Jason was going on a thrilling trip. he had to bring six socks and 8 shirts. He also had to bring 9 pants. He looked everywhere in his apartment, but he could not find it. he asked his mother, Jane, "Where's my unstained sock?" Jane blushed and said, "I accidentally threw it in the laundry." Jason smiled and said, "That's okay, I could wash it again." Jason dashed to get me. He washed me and cleaned me. Finally I was as clean as possible.

What Superhero Power Will I Choose?

If I could have one superhero power, I will choose fire power. Instead of wasting my time trying to start the fire, I will only use my hands. I could cook with my boiling fire power. I won't be exhausted. I will be well-known. I will buy anything my family could wish for. I wouldn't have to walk, instead, I could fly. Fire power is very cool. I will be so famous that 80 or more people will take trains or airplanes just to meet me. Instead of paying high electricity, I can just light up using my hands. There are some problems... if I read a book, it might catch on fire or if I touch a tree, it might go up in smoke. My clothes will also catch on fire, too! I would have to wear a fireproof suit, but I don't know how to make a fireproof suit nor do I know where to buy a fireproof suit. I could look around the world, but I would get weary. I will also get dizzy. I could be a hero! I could save many lives by burning the bad guys. I wish that it could be real and I hope it could happen in the future.

The Most Exciting Thing

I slept over at my brother's friend's house. His name is Sun-Ying. My mom came in with excellent news. The water slide park was open. We shouted, "Yeah!" We quickly put on our swimming suits, rushed out the door and jumped in the car with swimming gear. When we got there it was crowded. My mom said for me not to be curt. I took my noodle and when I saw the swimming pool, I dived in and floated with my floaty. My mom and I went down a water slide. It was very fun except I got some water up my nose and my mom had a heart attack. I wanted to go on it again but my mom could not stand it so I had to go with Sun-Ying's dad. Hudson went on the more dangerous one. He went on the one with a cover. You could go upside down. I wanted to go on that one, too! But I was too young so I went in the swimming pool and swan. I was a little unhappy but that is okay, I will grow. I dove deep into the pool. Hudson dove in and touched the ground with his hand and came up. I was frightened to go that deep so I did some easy ones.

Things to do in my life

The first thing I'd like to do in my life is to make lots of money when I tun into an intelligent woman so I can buy anything for my mom and dad for all their hard work. They help me with everything. The second thing I'd like to do is never to forget my mother, father, Miss Chen and Miss Liu. Nobody will forget me, too! The third thing is I will not be scared of the dark so that I can do anything I want at night. The fourth thing is I could do all the simple things like stirring when my mom bakes cookies or helping my dad clean the car. The fifth one is that I want to learn to stay calm whenever I feel gloomy. To make myself calm, I can ride my bike somewhere quiet. The sixth thing is I will never ever brag and I will not be scared of needles or sharp shots. The seventh is that I will like to bake delicious cakes and sell them. I will let my mother and father have all the bread they want for free. I hope my parents will be happy to hear what I wrote. The eighth thing is I would like to be a very sincere child. I will make lots of friends and play with them. The ninth thing is that I would like to explore the world. The tenth is I would like to be a scientist. I will study all about nature.

The Future

In 50 years from now, school will be easy to teach. They will go to school for four days a week. At school their desks are floating. For cars they call them "comers" and the "comers" can fly. The students won't need to get their backpacks because the backpacks will fly to them. They would write about things they do every day on floating computers. When people walk, they walk in a bubble so they could cross the street safely. The school will be like a tower with three pointy needles sticking out and two doors. Inside the school there will be huge garden. For lunch they could order anything they want, such as hamburgers, french fries and tacos. Lunch recess will be for 2 hours. The school buses could teleport to anywhere you like. Would you like to live in the future?

Letter to my big brother

Dear Hudson,
I am so lucky to have you as my brother. What will your birthday party be like? Will it be only a boy party or a boy and girl party? I hope you'll invite a girl! If you don't then I'll be very lonely. So what will we do during summer camp? I will play at the beach. I will make a big sand castle. Do you want to make a mountain out of sand? I can help dig a hole.
Love,
Amira

If I could live anywhere in the world...

If I could live anywhere in the world, I would live in America. The air is fresh and clean. Nobody litters. If they do they would get into massive trouble. America is where I'm from. It always has nice weather. It isn't weird like China. Everybody's friendly to each other except the robbers who broke into our car and stole my mom's expensive phone. My mom was very upset. We could see the dainty trees outside our old house. Our house had an enormous swimming pool. I used to go hiking in the beautiful park. The trees had nice green leaves and lots of vines with thick thorns on it. We had a picnic at the park. My mother accidentally sat on the vine and got hurt on her hand and her butt. We opened up our picnic basket and took out 3 sandwiches and apple juice. We had a nice time except the getting hurt part. Also, my legs got super sore. Hudson and I got to step in the puddles of mud. Our shoes got soaked up with mud so we went back home and washed our muddy shoes. I will never forget that fun time we had even when I grow up and become a smart woman. That is why I like America. I really like adventures and let me know if you like them too!

My Best Friend

My best friend is Julia. She always shares snacks with me. While picking vegetables, we always pick the same amount of vegetables. We never get cross. We are always gentle to one another. We are always delighted to see each other. We also like to watch the birds soar in the sky. We are both born in the year of the dragon. We like to play with each other every day. We both like to draw lovely pictures of flowers. We are in the same class. We used to live in America, but too bad I had to move to China. We can still write letters to each other. We are both happy now because we know we will never forget each other. We will still remember how many good times we had. We will forgive each other and be thankful for what we have.

Scary Things (1st Grade)

The thing that scares me the most is the dark. Well, the dark isn't really horrible because it is only the night. I just got scared because my friend told me a dreadful story about how her friend had a haunted swimming pool and one day a vile thing happened. She had a dream of hearing a scary noise. It was a devil. The devil said, "Come to me. Come and play with me." She felt scared so she went to the vast and scary swimming pool and swam. But while she was swimming in the terrible pool she saw that the pool water became blood and something was holding her down. It was a broken chair. She swam as fast as she could carry her legs. Finally she got out. I was very cheerful to hear a happy ending but I still got scared.

The Ice Castle (2nd Grade)

Once upon a time, there were two sisters. Their mom and dad died. They lived alone together. They named themselves Lily and Betty. Lily and Betty got along very well. One day, Lily said, "Betty, can we go on a walk? I want to go far away and see the world." Betty answered, "OK." They packed all their food (mostly bread and ham with strawberries) and set off. It was really sunny but the farther they walked, the colder it was. They both got out warm cotton clothes and hugged each other. They kept on walking. Finally, it began to snow. They still felt warm and cozy inside. They felt hungry so they got out some bread and ate it. Soon they drifted off to sleep. When they woke up, they found themselves right in front of an ice castle. Betty and Lily knocked on the door. A fairy (the size of them) ran in. She said, "Greetings, let's go in!" Betty and Lily nodded. They came in and made friends with the fairies. They lived happily ever after.
